Our Day 1 plan was to reach Battru mane which is about 5km away from the starting point. And here we started exactly at 3.45 pm!
We started our journey with lots of energy and enthusiasm. It's one of the hard and inclined trails.
And it's always good to carry sufficient water and energy boosters (Electral powder) to stay hydrated!!
Since our joinery began late afternoon, we were able to witness mesmerizing sunset - just wow!!
No one is allowed to camp at the peak but the facility is provided to camp near battru mane as well as near the forest checkpoint (we do get camping gears). It almost took 3 hours for us to complete our first-day target. Prior permission by the forest department should be taken to start the trek from battru mane so we informed to prepare food for us in battru mane as it's the only place where we get food over there and went to check post to get camping permission from the forest department. Once we got the permission, we assembled our tent, dumped all our luggage inside it with no safety at all with the risk of being self-responsible for all our belongings. Then we headed to battru mane to freshen up and have dinner. It was an overwhelming night,... Dark all around, cool breeze, and the whole sky lit with stars!! Just an amazing experience far from the city!!
With proper good rest, we started our day. Need to inform in Battra mane to prepare breakfast, if leaving early morning. We had our breakfast and started from there @ 8:00 am. And it's not allowed to carry anything except required stuff ( Water, Energy boosters). We wanted to reach back to Battra Mane for lunch, So planned accordingly. It's around 7kms from the Battara mane to reach the peak. It was not so easy as its a sunny day.
For certain kilometers till Kallu Mantapa, the trekking level is easy and moderate. Can able to cross those trails in a short time.
Can able to see the trail. As we found shadow, we rested for a few minutes and continued towards the peak.
Reached Kallu Mantapa.
As it's a sunny day, the temperature increases and it's becoming difficult. With a few minutes of rest, we started again.
After crossing Kallu mantapa, the Trekking level also changes from moderate to difficult. As we can see the picture it's getting hard and hard to trek.
In the Rainy season, it is not allowed to cross all this due to water flowing.
It was challenging to climb this huge rock to move forward.
It was 11:20 am, we reached the peak. Happy faces. And yes, we did it. Perfectly executed and Successfully achieved.
Hoisted our National flag and Karnataka flag...
Enjoyed our time on peak. As per the plan we supposed to reach back Battra mane for lunch. So we started with the same trails.
It's two different ways to reach the peak.
Route 1:- From Kukke Subramanya.
Route 2:- From Somvarpet.
We choose to trek from Subramanya and it's towards Left as we can see on that pic. And around 12:00 PM we started towards the camp.
We didn't take many pictures when we are towards the peak. Spend some time while we are heading back.
The tip view is just an amazing experience.
Lost myself in nature...
Speechless moment...
We managed to reach Battara mane by 2:45 pm and finished lunch...
with some rest, we packed our camp and everything, headed back to Kukke Subramanya. Around 7:00 pm we reached the base and continued towards our next plans...
